The process to restore and repair your credit requires patience and persistence. A big part of the credit restoration process is a series of letters and pleadings that are carried out until each credit issue is resolved. Here are some examples of letters that we will deal with on your behalf:

Stall Letters

A stall letter is exactly what it sounds like. Credit bureaus send such letters to stall the investigation of your dispute (remember, looking into your credit report costs them money). Some continue to do this with the hope that you will become frustrated and drop your claim all together. Pinnacle Credit knows exactly how to deal with and respond to stall letters and can avoid lengthy delays in repairing your credit.

POI (Proof of Identity) Letters

Credit bureaus, especially the big three, may send you a letter asking for personal information as proper identification. Quite often, proof of identity letters are a stall tactic. It’s important that you notify us immediately when you receive such a letter so we can deal with it as quickly as possible (you may receive additional POI letters even after providing the information they request). Pinnacle Credit will send only what is required and no additional personal information of any kind (even if asked for by the creditor or bureau).

Paid in Full

A Paid in Full letter is only the first step of correcting and repairing a particular issue with your credit. We will continue to work on your behalf to make sure that the creditor has in fact entered Paid in Full on your account and that they have removed all the negative information that appears on the account.

Settled in Full

This letter, similar to a Paid in Full letter, states that any issues with an account have been resolved. But again, receiving this letter does not mean that all of the negative information about the account has been removed. We will continue to monitor the account for you to ensure the proper changes have been made.

Letter from creditor with no deletion

In essence, this letter simply states that your request (your dispute or claim) to delete wrongful or erroneous information from your credit report has not been carried out. Such letters are often seen as a stall tactic.

Account sold to another lender

This letter states that your original lender has sold your account to another. If they do, they are required to indicate it on your credit report. A sold account should not have any effect on your dispute but occasionally, some confusion does occur. Transferring an account from lender to lender takes time. We will monitor the entire process to make sure the transfer doesn’t cause additional problems.

Collection/Balance remaining from creditor

Collection agencies, of course, are more interested in open accounts. This means they may ignore your account and fail to verify any changes. However, If a collector or bureau cannot prove an actual debt, they must, by law, delete the collection/balance remaining listing. This is a situation that requires careful monitoring and the proper steps to resolve.
